How to Enter in The Prior Year Path

The Prior Year Path

The following steps provided show how to enter in the prior year path of the software:

Method 1

1. To start, click Setup > Local Setup.
2. Enter the path for the prior year of the software.
   Example: 2022software is installed at C:\xlink22 will most likely need to enter as C:\xlink21 in the “Prior Year Path” field.

Method 2

1. Go to Setup > Office Setup > General Tab. 
2. Navigate to the prior year program directory by clicking Browse.
3. Verify Proforma is working. Go to the “Lookup” screen, click Add, and enter a SSN that exists in the prior year database. When set up correctly, the software should ask to Transfer Proforma Data from Last Year.
